Give a dog a dinner - and a date!
GIVE A DOG A DINNER - AND A DATE!How do I do that? With the number of homeless animals rising across the UK we’ve got a lot more hungry mouths to feed but with your help we can provide dogs like Izzy, Marley, Millie and Sunny with breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as a lot of love and care. We'd also like to find out why you think your pooch would make a great dinner date for the dog stars of this project - all of whom are looking for new homes. Izzy is a sensitive female Husky who is very loyal and affectionate; Marley is a happy-go-lucky Staffordshire Bull Terrier; Millie is a cross breed who is looking for someone to teach her new tricks; and Sunny is a two year old lurcher who loves to cosy up in a duvet. The best answers will win a doggy bag packed full of goodies for your faithful friend - leave your answers in the comments box on this page. What does it cost?It costs just £3 to give Izzy, Marley, Millie and Sunny and other homeless animals like them, breakfast, lunch and dinner for a week. When will I see the difference? Our aim is to raise enough to feed 50 animals between now and the summer (50x13 weeks x £3 per week = £1950) – we’ll let you know later this year we’ve got on. What will I see? We’ll introduce you to some of the animals you fed.
Tell me more...Every year we see an increase in the number of animals needing our help and last year was no exception. As the strain of the recession took its toll on pet owners nationwide we saw a 13% increase on the previous year in the number of animals coming through our doors. Last year:
