About the charity
Who We Are
Vision Charity was created in 1975 and formally incorporated in 1977. Its foundation was the Professional and Corporate television industry, but since then it has broadened its reach to include all aspects of the Visual Communications Industries.
The Vision Charity operates through a Board of Trustees, one of whom is Chairman of the charity, and an Executive Committee.
A Donations Committee reviews applications for help and assistance, and also innovates with suggestions for improving the welfare and opportunities for these young people.
We are very grateful for the valuable support of our Patrons.
What We Do
Vision Charity raises funds in a variety of ways including fundraising events.
Our aim is to offer outstanding events and to ensure that the funds are distributed wisely.
Vision Charity enjoys considerable support from a very wide cross section of the visual communications industry. We also maintain very close links with professional organisations like the Royal National Institute of the Blind, Dyslexia Action, Sense, The Royal London Society for the Blind, The Royal National College - Hereford, Autism Independent and many others.
As an example of such a relationship Vision is proud of its association with Dyslexia Action and Dyslexia Action's Bursary Fund.
How We Help
Vision is keen to emphasize its increasing international focus, both in terms of its fundraising activities and in directing its donations.
In addition we have wide ranging contacts who help blind, visually impaired and dyslexic people and we seek to direct enquiries we receive to the appropriate body or individual.
