Being a kid in hospital is no fun...without a visit from a Clown Doctor like Dr Wonderpants. Whilst normal doctors are focused on the serious business of getting people better, Clown Doctors bring mischief, music and magic tricks to the ward, bringing smiles and laughter to the kids.

What does it cost?

£5 will pay for Dr Wonderpants to visit one child in hospital - and our 'mystery millionaire' will match every donation made - so you get to make double the difference!

A stay in hospital can be a daunting time for a child; away from home and the people they love. Imagine their delight when a clown doctor transforms the ward into a magical play space.

Clown doctors wait to be invited by the child before proceeding, ensuring that the child is not confined to the role of spectator but can participate in the magic and the activities. Their clowning skills are tailored to each individual’s needs. Staff tell us that the feeling of a hospital changes once Dr Wonderpants and her clown doctor friends arrive. Future visits are eagerly anticipated to add stimulation in what can be an anxious environment.

At its simplest level clown doctors give poorly children a chance to laugh; by bringing in something that is usually left outside – humour.
