Restoring forests in Sumatra

Replanting rainforests

Show more projects in:

It’s not just Orangutans that need rainforests. Elephants, tigers, butterflies, frogs...even humans depend on the land to survive, but 80% of this habitat has been destroyed over the last 20 years.

Sumatran Orangutan Society work with local communities living on the edge of the Leuser Forests in Sumatra. We help set up tree nurseries and train the locals in replanting to support the regeneration of the forests.

We have over a thousand hectares of forest that we want to replant, and each hectare needs over a thousand trees.  Why not buy a bucket load?

£1 will buy another tree for our restoration project.

You'll See The Difference...

More is better when it comes to replanting the rainforest.

And you’ll see how your donations add up, with before and after pictures of the next 500 trees we plant with your money.

If you make a comment after you donate there will be a by your name
