Care for the terminally ill in Plymouth, South West Devon and East Cornwall
JOB DONE: AWAITING FEEDBACKUPDATE: 9TH JUNE 2011. We're sad to hear that friend of See The Difference Tom Daley lost his dad to cancer recently. The family have praised the staff at St Luke's Hospice, with Tom saying “We need to raise a lot of money for everyone who has supported my dad, especially the nurses, because they are genuinely so nice and caring and we couldn’t have asked for any better care”.
Many of the patients at St Luke’s have a life-limiting illness. But when time is limited, it’s important to live each moment as fully as possible. St Luke’s Hospice provides free specialist palliative care to patients across Plymouth, South West Devon and East Cornwall. The service consists of a 20 bedded inpatient unit, a community nursing team, complimented by a day Hospice, a range of complementary therapies and outpatient clinics. Our staff are specialists in Palliative Care, and work with each individual patient to find methods to suit them, not just the illness. On hand to help with physical symptoms and pain relief, our staff also support patients and families with emotional and spiritual needs. All these things can make such a difference at a very difficult time. To keep St Luke’s running costs £10 per minute.
You'll See The Difference...St Luke's are now putting together the feedback to show you the difference your money has made so we'll be bringing you another 'success story' very soon! |
