Kids Company

About the charity

Kids Company, founded by Camila Batmanghelidjh in 1996, supports annually 14,000 vulnerable children and young people, the majority of whom have suffered significant physical, emotional trauma and neglect.  We deliver child-focused services out of four centres in London, as well as in 38 primary and secondary schools across the city. We help restore a sense of safety, and return to children a desire to live.  Our children lack a functioning parent to care for them, so our staff endeavour to strengthen, supplement or substitute this parental role. Through appropriate attachment we help the children aspire and achieve.
