Hell of the Ashdown
USE YOUR RIDE TO SAVE THE HERNE HILL VELODROMEThe Olympic year is here. How do I do that?Catford Cycling Club asked all competitors in this year’s Hell of the Ashdown to ride in support of the Herne Hill Velodrome appeal and help them raise up to £1000. What does it cost?We are applying for grants and funds from various bodies to Save the Velodrome but need your cash to continue our work in the immediate few months and to start improving cyclists facilities. When and how will I see the difference? The campaign has already seen the track itself resurfaced and now, with your help we can start to create a scheme for new facilities and a bright future. As we make progress with these we’ll keep you updated here and through our newsletters and facebook page. The race has now been run! I’m in, how do I get started? If you’re already registered for the Hell of the Ashdown there are two ways to raise money: a. If you like to collect donations from your friends as you go, here's a sponsorship form. Click on the link to download it and print it, then come back to this page to pay in your money after the race. b. If you'd prefer to email all your friends in one go and ask them to support you, the simplist way is to create a fundraising event online here in 2 minutes. To get started click the 'sign in/join' right at the top of the page to create your profile and follow the simple instructions. Then find the 'I'm doing' tab in your profile, answer a few quick questions about your event and once you're done press the 'create my event' button. Once you've created your event, you'll be asked if you'd like to email your friends about your event.
and have a great ride.
Save The Herne Hill Velodrome would like to thank Bryan Stout and the Catford Cycle Club for their help and support: |
