GIVE A DISADVANTAGED KID ACCESS TO SPORT AND THE ARTS

How do I do that?

By giving a disadvantaged young person the chance to attend one of our structured sports and performing arts programmes during the school week.

What does it cost?

£20 will give another child a place on a sport or arts programme for a month (this also includes breakfast, lunch and after-school clubs, weekend trips, tournaments and performances and holiday activities).

When will I see the difference?

When we've raised enough for 50 children to have a place on the programme (£1,000).

What will I see?

Some of the children you helped will write and tell you what activity they are studying.

We empower young people from disadvantaged backgrounds or with special needs, using sport and the performing arts. Our projects encourage them to overcome adversity and achieve their goals, improving behaviour and attitudes and developing positive life skills.

Our programmes are based in schools and community clubs all over London.

Make a difference by giving time to coach young people

Sports coaching - Our coaches work with almost 10,000 young people, but we can reach more with your help. We currently need skilled and committed people who can volunteer as:

Lifeguards for our swimming club in Hammersmith

Assistant Basketball Coaches in locations across London (high standard of play and/or previous experience of coaching is required)

Assistant Football Coaches at Greenhouse Bethwin FC, training at Burgess Park

Table Tennis Coaches / Sparring Partners in locations across London (high standard of play and/or previous experience of coaching is required)

To find out more, contact the Volunteering team on 020 85766118 or volunteer@greenhousecharity.org

Performing arts coaching - Help young people build self-confidence and raise aspirations through performing arts. We are in the process of setting up new dance activities in primary schools, secondary schools and youth clubs in Shoreditch. If you would like to assist with dance coaching when an opportunity becomes available please Apply here or email volunteer@greenhousecharity.org for more information.
