Help us stop animal cruelty
HELP US STOP ANIMAL CRUELTYHow do I do that?Compassion in World Farming employ an investigator to go undercover into farming environments to ensure that farmers who cause distress and cruelty to animals are reported to the relevant authorities. You can help us continue this vital work. What does it cost? Each hour of investigation costs £25 (there’s a lot of insurance, travel and equipment involved). When will I see the difference? When we've raised enough for a week’s worth of investigation (40 hours’ worth, a total of £1,000) What will I see?Our main investigator will be back in touch to tell you what he found.
Tell me more...Compassion in World Farming employs people who notice things. Because farmers that ignore rules and regulations can cause distress and cruelty to animals. We employ one full-time investigator, with a network of supersnoopers all over Europe. We go undercover into farming environments and check that animals have all the space, food, freedom and care that they’re entitled to. And if they don’t, we tell the relevant authorities about it. We’ve just finished an 18 month investigation into Pig Farming that took us across the UK, Spain, Denmark, Germany, Hungary and the Netherlands. Now we want to do a similar thing for hens before the barren battery cage ban which comes into force in 2012.
