Children and young people in the UK are facing many challenges today. Brathay works with many of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged to help them develop the skills, confidence and motivation to make positive choices in their lives.

Helping young people the Brathay Way

Our vision is of a society where all children and young people have access to formal and informal education to enable them to fulfil their potential. Brathay’s objective is to be the national charity that empowers young people to make a positive contribution to society.

An introduction to the things we do

• We focus on four key areas directly relating to the 'Every Child Matters' agenda and performance indicators set by the government to ‘increase the number of children and young people on the path to success’.
• We provide programmes for the Children’s Workforce to promote multi-agency working and leadership capacity building.
• Through our newly established regional centres, we provide national leadership in the development of young people. We help transform the lives of those at risk of falling out of mainstream society often contributing to anti-social behaviour.
