A kitchen for communication impaired children
JOB DONE: SCROLL DOWN TO "SUCCESS STORIES" TO SEE THE DIFFERENCE MADE The RCCI Rehabilitation Centre for the Communication Impaired in Sri Lanka uses food and cooking to help children develop. Handling food enables children to overcome eating disorders, develop sensory feedback and learn to work in groups. You've done it!The £500 raised has bought a cooker, utensils and bowls for the 80 children that visit the centre. Thank you from Sri Lanka
Update posted 24th August 2010 Differenced - You’ve done it and work is complete!Asha Trust’s kitchen for the Communication Impaired is our very first fully funded and completed project. 10 See The Difference donors came together to raise the £500 target - enough to equip the RCCI school with the oven and utensils they need. With around 80 severely disabled children visiting the centre, having the facilities for a sensory-based cookery programme is already making an amazing difference, which you can see in the video above.
